Columbiana girls use late run to stop Bulldogs

COLUMBIANA — Katie Douglas and Courtney Karrigan shared 24 points in leading the Columbiana High School basketball team to a 44-28 victory over East Palestine Friday in a Inter-Tri-County Tier One game in the Clippers’ gymnasium.

The Clippers (4-5, 3-3) built a 29-20 lead heading into the fourth quarter and outscored the Bulldogs (1-5, 1-5) 15-8 in the final eight minutes of action.

Douglas paced the Clippers with 14 points Karrigan added 10 and she grabbed five rebounds and had three steals. Bre Hull paced the Bulldogs with 11 points.
