3 arrested in robbery at Wal-Mart

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police have arrested three people in a robbery at the Union Township Wal-Mart, including one person initially thought to have been a victim.

Police said Friday they arrested Frank Bonzo, 18, of Ellwood City, Kimberlee Sager, 39, and Valerie Sager, 22, both of New Castle. Police said additional arrests are pending.

According to police, a 23-year-old woman, Valerie Sager, and a 6-year-old girl were in the parking lot of Wal-Mart when two men wearing bandannas over their faces pointed a gun and demanded money.

Police contend Bonzo was one of the men and the Sagers were accomplices. Police said the three were charged with robbery, criminal conspiracy, theft, simple assault, receiving stole property and recklessly endangering another person.

Both Sagers also were charged with corruption of minors. Police said the robbery occurred at 8:20 p.m. Nov. 7. All three were arraigned Friday before District Justice James Reed, and bond was set at $75,000 for each.
