Prosecutors: Officer told friend he killed pregnant girlfriend

Wednesday, December 19, 2007

CANTON (AP) — A city police officer accused in the slaying of a pregnant woman admitted to his high school classmate and co-defendant that he killed the woman, and also led investigators to the Summit County park where she was found wrapped in a comforter, prosecutors said.

Bobby L. Cutts Jr. — the boyfriend of the slain woman, Jessie Davis — told Myisha Ferrell that he killed Davis, prosecutors said in documents filed in Stark County Common Pleas Court on Tuesday.

The documents represented the first time prosecutors revealed what led them to Davis’ body June 23. Stark County Common Pleas Judge Charles Brown has imposed a gag order on attorneys involved in the case that has prevented them from discussing details.
