Dukes ‘General Lee’ appears at Yankee Lake tonight
BROOKFIELD — At 8 p.m. tonight, the North East Ohio Dukes will take over the last regular season Truck Night at Yankee Lake here.
Raymond Kohn was a childhood fan of the television show “Dukes of Hazzard.” When he was young, he had dreams of owning his very own General Lee, the souped up 1969 Dodge Charger driven by the show’s characters Bo and Luke Duke.
He has made his dream a reality. A replica of Kohn’s General Lee will go airborne over a row of six cars at speeds more than 60 mph at 8 p.m.
His General Lee replica has been featured on MTV’s “Your Movie Show” as well as shows with some of the original television show cast.
Seven other General Lees from around the area also will be on display. Kohn also will present Rosco P. Coltrane’s Hazzard County, Ga., police car. Northeast Ohio Dukes will be giving away Duke merchandise and raffling off a General Lee 01 Door. Gates open at 6 and the mud flies at 7.
