XCANFIELD — Kathleen Cary Sherrard, a daughter of the Rev. David and Linda Sherrard, 4873 Maple St., Vienna, and Isaac Christopher Gadd, a son of Shelton and Mary Gadd, 2049 Riggs Road, Newark, were married July 21 at Old North Church.

Pastor Brent Allen and the bride’s father officiated at 1:30 p.m. ceremony, and the couple accepted congratulations at a reception held later in the day at the Avalon Inn and Resort, Howland.

The couple live in Newark after returning from a honeymoon in Florida.

The bride’s A-line gown of peau de soie was enhanced with pearls, sequins and lace, and featured a square neckline, long sleeves and an extended train.

Deep-purple gowns were worn by the bride’s cousin and honor attendant, Samantha Sweet of Howland, and the bridesmaids, Maria and Lillian Ervin of Fairmont, W.Va, her nieces. Another niece, Abbigail Senn of Boardman, was flower girl.

The groom’s father performed the duties of best man, and the groomsman was Brian Davis of Newark. Guests were ushered by David Sherrard Jr. of Fairmont, brother of the bride, and Bradley Sweet of Howland, her cousin.

Mrs. Gadd graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in early childhood education. She is a lead teacher with Central Ohio Technical College at Ohio State University.

Mr. Gadd, a massage therapist with Banyan Leaf Spa in Newark, graduated as a massage therapist from Bryman Institute in Gahanna.
