FOOTBALL COACHES New faces in 2007

Chaney: John Protopapa, who has also been head coach at Rayen, Lowellville, East Palestine and Campbell. Replaces Ron Berdis.

Fitch: Phil Annarella, who was has also been head coach at Warren Western Reserve, Warren Harding (where he won a state title in 1990), Hickory and Niles. Replaces Neal Kopp.

Warren Harding: D.J. Dota, who was an assistant at Harding from 1997-2003 and in 2006. Replaces Thom McDaniels.

Campbell: Jeff Bayuk. Bayuk was head coach at Hubbard from 1991-2006 and at Canfield from 1986-1990. Replaces Protopapa.

Niles: Tim Johnson, who was an assistant at Niles the past four years. Previously served as Niles’ head coach for five years. Replaces Annarella.

Lowellville: Mike Palumbo, who was an assistant with the Rockets. Replaces John Turco.

Springfield: Sean Guerriero, who has been an assistant at Girard the past four years. Replaces John Smith.

East Palestine: Jeff Sharkey, who has also been head coach at United and Marlington. Replaces Darren Miller.

United: Ed Ridgeway, who spent the last four years as a junior high coach at United. Was a head coach for one season at Crestview. Replaces Sharkey.

Leetonia: Matt Altomare, who was an assistant the past eight years at the school. Replaces his father, Artie.

Wellsville: Dave Skinner, who was defensive coordinator for the Tigers. Replaces Ron Paul.

Hubbard: Brian Hoffman, who was head coach at West Middlesex the last three years. Replaces Bayuk.

Youngstown Christian: Brian Marrow, who was head coach at Wilson the past three years. Replaces Eddy Witham.
