XAUSTINTOWN — Lloyd and Delphine Vandervoort of Austintown were honored by family members and friends as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 30 during a dinner reception held at the Holiday Inn in Boardman.
The couple were married June 29, 1957, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Boardman, where they are members.
Hosts for the event were the couple’s nieces and their spouses, Alana and Robert Anderson of Lansing, Mich., and Jennifer and John Martin of Sandusky.
Mrs. Vandervoort was employed for 40 years in the payroll department of General Fireproofing Business Equipment Co.
Mr. Vandervoort, who served with the U.S. Air Force, retired from Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home after 50 years as a funeral director. He is a past master of Argus Masonic Lodge and Austintown Rotary Club.
