Sunday night fire at vacant North Side house

YOUNGSTOWN — Firefighters forced their way into a vacant house at 66 Ames Court on the North Side around 11:30 p.m. Sunday to extinguish a fire that likely started between the living and dining rooms of the two-story structure, reports show. The cause is under investigation and damage was set at $5,000, nearly a total loss.
