PRAYER DAY Observances

The City Prayer Team of Youngstown is promoting participation in the National Day of Prayer on Thursday with three observances in the city. They are:
Morning: 7 to 8 a.m. at Fifth Avenue Community Church, 1361 Fifth Ave.
Midday: Noon to 1 p.m. at the corner of Market and West Federal Street, downtown. Bishop George V. Murry of the Diocese of Youngstown will give the blessing and benediction. Speakers will be Youngstown Mayor Jay Williams and Bishop Norman L. Wagner, pastor of Calvary Ministries International.
Evening: 6 to 7 p.m. at Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Metroparks. Participants should take lawn chairs.
General information: The prayer team meets at 10 a.m. the first Saturday of each month at Fifth Avenue Community Church.
