Homeowner finds two homemade explosives


AUSTINTOWN — A homeowner on Forest Hill Drive called police Sunday to report that two homemade chemical bombs went off in his yard.

The homeowner and his wife heard two loud explosions, one at 12:30 a.m. and the other at 2:30 a.m., a police report says.

The homeowner said he found two plastic beer bottles in his front yard at 8 a.m.

Police came and confirmed the bottles were the remnants of homemade explosives that are   known as drain cleaner bombs, a police report says.
