New business offersbackground checks
NILES -- A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday for Check 'Em Out, which is located in the National City building, 2 S. Main St. The business, which is owned by Brenda Claypool, offers credit checks and checks on background, criminal records and employment history. It also offers Social Security and driver's license verification. Claypool, a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and Kent State University, is a former security officer.
Day-care center opens onYoungstown-Warren Road
NILES -- Amazing Adventures Daycare and Learning Center, 1053 Youngstown-Warren Road, has opened under the ownership of Diane Fabijance. She has an associate degree in early childhood education from Kent State University and expects to complete a bachelor's degree next year. The center is designed for up to 70 children between the ages of 18 months and 12 years. It offers day-care services as well as before- and after-school programs.
