Woman's Heart Day set
YOUNGSTOWN -- Humility of Mary Health Partners Heart and Vascular Services and Laboratory Services are offering their fourth annual Woman's Heart Day from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Chevrolet Centre in Youngstown.
The event includes free health screenings, refreshments, informational programs, and giveaways.
Screenings offered on a first-come, first-served basis include blood pressure and body fat, as well as, stroke, diabetes and cardiac risk assessments. Space is limited for the peripheral arterial disease, bone density, lipid panel (cholesterol and glucose) and skin cancer screenings. There will be free health and wellness presentations, make-up demonstrations, massage therapy, refreshments and door prizes.

Dog-bite prevention
YOUNGSTOWN -- The National Safety Council, Northern Ohio Chapter, is offering three separate two-hour, dog-bite prevention classes Tuesday. Class times are 8 a.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. The classes will be at the National Safety Council in the Ohio One Building, second floor auditorium, 25 E. Boardman St. The cost is 15 per person. Talking about medications
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- "Let's Talk About Medications" will be discussed at the Jameson Diabetes Support Group program presented Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Jameson South Conference Center. Violence prevention
BOARDMAN -- Molly Seals, senior vice president of Human Resources and Organizational Development for Humility of Mary Health Partners, is among the guest speakers at the Tri-County Family Violence Prevention Coalition board meeting from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Holiday Inn on South Avenue. Other speakers are Theresa Wukusick, program manager for The Anthem, and Jo Simenson, Anthem , Ohio Domestic Violence Prevention Workplace Initiative.

Mammogram screenings
YOUNGSTOWN -- Tiffany Breast Care Center will conduct mammogram screenings from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane. Dr. Dean R. Ball, radiologist, and his staff of female mammography technologists will provide mammograms in a fully contained mobile unit.
Medicare, Medicaid & amp; most private insurances accepted. Participants must have a doctor's order with a physician's phone number and/or address.
