ASHTABULA -- Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth L. Hughes, 4472 Runkle Ave. Ext., will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary by renewing their nuptial vows during a ceremony to be officiated by the Rev. Dr. Stephen Long at 1 p.m. June 16 at First Presbyterian Church, 4317 Park Ave.
Afterward a reception will be held in the Christian Education Building behind the church. Reservations are to be made by May 13 by calling the church at (440) 993-3731 or by e-mail to firstpresb@alltel.net. The couple requests that gifts will be omitted.
The former Patty Ferris and Mr. Hughes were united in marriage on June 19, 1982, by the Rev. Russell Hand at the United Methodist Church of Hubbard.
Mr. Hughes retired from Millennium Inorganic Chemicals Plant. Mrs. Hughes graduated from Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Northside Hospital and Ashtabula General Hospital before retiring.
The couple have a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Juanita Hughes, and a granddaughter, Christina Hughes, all of Owensboro, Ky.
