A Mahoning County grand jury has indicted Tim Vari, 54, of Sixth Street, Campbell, on two counts of felonious assault on a police officer and one count each of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, receiving stolen property and cocaine possession.
Youngstown police said Vari rammed two police cars March 26 to avoid capture in a stolen pickup truck and lighted a crack pipe when the pickup had engine trouble; police later boxed him in, and was forcibly removed by officers.

The grand jury declined to indict Vance Washington on a robbery charge.
