Girls' night out to be May 31 at Davis Center

A style show and a variety of boutiques will be featured at the event.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Davis Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park will be transformed into a New York runway for a Girls' Night Out event to be held from 6 to 9:30 p.m. May 31 by the Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens.
The evening will begin with demonstrations of Garden Goddess plantings by Keith Kaiser, horticulture director of Mill Creek MetroParks, and skin health and essential care by Dr. Jennifer Lloyd.
At 7 p.m., Diane Ferro will narrate a style show of summer fashions modeled by local celebrities while cosmopolitans, finger sandwiches and petite pastries are served.
Guests may visit a number of boutiques that will feature specialty giftware and elegant accent decor, lifestyle accessories, silver jewelry, golf accessories, botanical skin care, gardening hardscape, chocolate delicacies and fine gourmet food.
A variety of jewelry and garden accessories will be showcased in a grand raffle. Raffle tickets will be on sale at the gardens; winners need not be present.
Reservations are required for the fundraiser. Tickets are 10 for members and 15 for guests, and they may be purchased by calling (330) 740-7116. Memberships in the Friends organization will also be available.
