A Mahoning County grand jury has indicted Tim Vari, 54, of Sixth Street, Campbell, on two counts of felonious assault on a police officer and one count each of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, receiving stolen property and cocaine possession.
Youngstown police said Vari rammed two police cruisers on March 26 to avoid capture in a stolen pickup truck, lighted a crack pipe when the pickup had engine trouble and police later boxed him in, and was forcibly removed by officers.
