CANFIELD -- The engagement of Maria Carbon, a daughter of John and Donna Carbon, 3907 Alvacardo Drive, and Ryan Melewski, a son of Ray and Fran Melewski, 6745 Summit Drive, is being announced by their parents.
Miss Carbon is first-grade teacher at Jackson-Milton Elementary School in North Jackson. She graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in early childhood education.
Mr. Melewski graduated from DePaul University in Chicago with a degree in communications. He is currently pursuing a law degree at Akron University School of Law.
The couple will exchange nuptial vows Aug. 11 during an open ceremony at 2 p.m. at St. Christine Church, Youngstown. That evening, a reception will be held by invitation at St. Mary's Assumption Social Center, Youngstown.
