2 found shot in yard
YOUNGSTOWN -- Two shooting victims were found lying in a yard in the 200 block of east Lucius Avenue around 2:15 a.m. Friday. Police said Michael Brogdon, 19, of East Judson Avenue, was shot in the right thigh, and D'Metri Lee, 17, of East Lucius, was shot in the left forearm. They were treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center. Both told police they had been dropped off by a friend in the driveway and heard a barrage of gunfire as they walked to the porch. They said they didn't see who fired but think the suspect or suspects came from behind a vacant house, reports show. Police collected two bullet-resistant vests found in an upstairs bedroom of Lee's house, spent casings from the front porch, loaded and unloaded magazines from the porch and ground and a loaded 9 mm pistol near the house.
Medicine levels toxic
FARRELL, Pa. -- A 41-year-old woman found dead in a cemetery had toxic levels of two pain relievers and an antidepressant in her system when she died. Mercer County Coroner J. Bradley McGonigle III had ruled the death of Shelly Misinay of Farrell a suicide when she was found on March 1 in the Temple Beth Israel Cemetery in Hermitage. She went missing on Valentine's Day during a large snowstorm. McGonigle said Misinay's official cause of death still is hypothermia, but noted she did have toxic levels of painkillers and the antidepressant. McGonigle said they also found handwritten letters on her body addressed to family.
