Two wounded on Youngstown's South Side

YOUNGSTOWN — Two shooting victims were found laying in a yard in the 200 block of east Lucius Avenue around 2:15 a.m. today.

Police said Michael Brogdon, 19, of East Judson Avenue was shot in the right thigh and D’Metri Lee, 17, of East Lucius was shot in the left forearm. They were taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center. Brogdon was in satisfactory condition about noon and Lee was still being evaluated.

Both told police they had been dropped off by a friend in the driveway and heard a barrage of gunfire as they walked to the porch. They said they didn’t see who fired but believe the suspect or suspects came from behind a vacant house, reports show.

Police collected two bullet resistant vests found in an upstairs bedroom of Lee’s house, spent casings from the front porch, loaded and unloaded magazines from the porch and ground and a loaded 9 mm pistol near the house, reports show.
