K.O. Drugs holdingregistration
YOUNGSTOWN -- Registration for the K.O. Drugs High School Boxing Tournament continues.
All interested contestants can still register and weigh-in Saturday at Dick's Sporting Goods stores in Niles (noon to 3 p.m.) and Boardman (3-6 p.m.).
Registration and weigh-ins will also be held at both stores Monday (Niles, 4-6 p.m.; Boardman, 6-8 p.m.).

Floyd assignedto practice squad
COLUMBUS -- The Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League signed defensive back Anthony Floyd to its practice squad.
Floyd is a Chaney High graduate who played in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans.
Owens named by PAC
WEXFORD, Pa. -- Bethany College senior Brent Owens was named Presidents' Athletic Conference baseball hitter of the week.
The senior batted .500 (11-for-22) with one home run, four doubles, nine RBIs and 11 runs scored to lead the Bison to three wins.
Bill Pintaric second
SUMMIT POINT, W. Va. -- Bill Pintaric of Liberty Township finished second in the GT Lite class at the Sports Car Club of America road race.
Pintaric is the defending Northeast Division champion in his class.
In the Touring One class, David Pintaric of Canfield finished in third place.
Over Memorial Day weekend, the two will compete at the Nelson Ledges Course in Garrettsville.
HOF game ticketson sale May 2
CANTON -- A limited number of tickets for the AFC-NFC Pro Football Hall of Fame Game go on sale May 2.
The game will match the Pittsburgh Steelers against the New Orleans Saints.
Tickets may be purchased online by visiting the Pro Football Hall of Fame's website at Profootballhof.com or by calling 800-913-9788 beginning at 11 a.m.
There is a limit of six tickets per household and tickets are non-refundable. All tickets will be mailed June 29.
The game is Aug. 5 at 8 p.m.
Tickets for the enshrinement ceremony Aug. 4 are also available.
The Class of 2007 is Gene Hickerson, Michael Irvin, Bruce Matthews, Charlie Sanders, Thurman Thomas and Roger Wehrli.
Thiel dedicatessoftball field
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The softball field at Tomcat Park will be dedicated by Thiel College Saturday.
Throwing out first pitches will be State Representative Michelle Brooks (R-17) and former State Representative and current Thiel Board of Trustee member Rod Wilt, who helped Thiel receive the Recreational Challenge Grant.

MERCER, Pa. -- Mercer Raceway Park will hold five divisions of racing Saturday night starting at 7 p.m.
The Luxaire Heating & amp; Cooling Sprint Cars, American Racer/Lias Tire Modifieds, Tire Express Stock Cars, Big Daddy's Speed Center Mod Lites, and the M & amp;D Paving Mini Stocks will continue their championship point chases.
JFK's Clementetabbed by MAC
CLEVELAND -- Akron golfer Colin Clemente, a Warren JFK High graduate, was named the Mid-American Conference golfer of the week.
Clemente fired off 141 strokes over two rounds to help guide the Zips to a 21-stroke victory against Miami (Ohio) and Kent State on Sunday.
The biology major posted a 1-under 69 at Windmill Lakes Golf Club, which tied for the best round in the 21-man field and help propel him to the first medalist award of his career and second GOW honor of the season.
His efforts guided the Zips to their second-straight team title -- extending the school record to four on the season.
Correction
LIBERTY -- Liberty's Joshua Myers' name was misspelled in Wednesday's paper. Myers won the 300 hurdles in a track meet at Lakeview on Tuesday.
