Head of partner company to speak at annual dinner of Wick Neighbors Inc.
Tickets are still available.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The head of the Cleveland company partnering with Wick Neighbors Inc. to redevelop the Wick District-Smoky Hollow region of the city will speak at the agency's annual meeting and dinner Wednesday at the Chevrolet Centre's community room.
Joining Nate Zaremba of Zaremba Inc. as a speaker at the dinner is U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-17th.
Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with the dinner at 6:30.
A Wick Neighbors oversight task force has worked with Zaremba and City Architecture to complete the project's site plan details including street grids, retail locations, housing types, a commons area, parking, gateways and project phasing.
Zaremba signed a predevelopment contract with Wick Neighbors in August 2006 to identify mixed-use development, market strategy, site plan revisions, infrastructure costs, project financing and other issues regarding the revitalization of the Wick District-Smoky Hollow area.

That area includes 66 acres bounded by Wick, Andrews, Rayen and Madison avenues, with most of the property owned by Youngstown State University.
Zaremba's market study concludes that there is a demand for new single-family houses, townhouses and condominiums in the area with a price range between 125,000 and 250,000.
Tickets for the event are 25 per person. There will be a cash bar, and wine will be served with dinner.
The reservation deadline is Friday. To make reservations or for more information, go to the agency's Web site -- www.wickneighbors.org -- or call (330) 259-1750. Make checks payable to Wick Neighbors Inc. and mail them to 323 Wick Ave. in Youngstown 44503.
