Struthers girls suspended for possession
STRUTHERS — Two female students at Struthers Middle School were suspended for 10 days and may face expulsion hearings after being arrested Friday for possessing a small amount of suspected marijuana on school property.
The girls, ages 13 and 14, were charged with drug abuse and released on their own recognizance to their parents, said police, who were called to the school at 800 Fifth St. at about 11:15 a.m.
School officials called police after learning one of the girls might have marijuana in her possession.
