Moonda attorneys wantjurors to visit the scene
AKRON -- Attorneys for murder suspect Donna Moonda are asking that jurors in her upcoming trial visit the murder scene. Moonda is accused of aiding and abetting in the shooting death of her 69-year-old husband, Dr. Gulam Moonda. The couple lived in Mercer County, Pa., and he was killed when she pulled their Jaguar to the side of the Ohio Turnpike Pike on May 13, 2005, to switch drivers.
Authorities contend that her lover, Damian Bradford, 25, a man she met in drug rehabilitation, killed the doctor at Moonda's request. Moonda's attorneys are also asking for more specifics about the items of value Moonda was alleged to have given her husband's shooter. Prosecutors have contended she gave Bradford cash, jewelry, rent money, money for a car and other things in exchange for the killing.
