Stocke secondin Dayton golf
KETTERING -- Sophomore Ryan Stocke posted the best finish of his career placing second at the Dayton Spring Invitational. The YSU men's golf team had a season-high fourth-place team finish out of 12 schools at the event at the NCR Golf Course.
Stocke, whose previous best finish was third at the Wright State/Norm Bullock Collegiate Classic last April, placed one stroke behind medalist John Powers of Bowling Green.
Stocke had rounds of 77, 76 and 74 to finish with a 227 while Powers carded the low round on Tuesday at 71 to place first. Stocke's 74 was the fourth best round.
The Penguins finished with a three-round total of 943 (312-319-312). UW-Green Bay won the event with a 925. YSU placed ahead of Horizon League members Wright State (947), Cleveland State (947) and Butler (968).
Other finishers for Youngstown State were junior Ross Beal who was 16th with a 227 (77-76-74), freshman Tim Morrow who placed 22nd with a 239 (81-79-79), senior Jim Powers who finished 39th at 244 (84-84-76) and junior Ryan McGraw who was 51st with a 249 (80-86-83).

CHL claimsattendance crown
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Central Hockey League, which includes the Youngstown SteelHounds, has claimed its sixth consecutive 'AA' average attendance title, finishing the 2006-07 regular season averaging 4,388 fans per contest.
The CHL has finished with the highest average attendance among all North American 'AA' pro leagues each season since the 2001-2002 campaign.
The Oklahoma City Blazers captured their fifth average attendance crown, welcoming 8,902 fans per game to the Ford Center to finish atop all 90 North American professional teams competing below the National Hockey League level.
Four other CHL clubs joined Oklahoma City among the top dozen 'AA' average attendance leaders in 2006-07 --
the Wichita Thunder (fifth, 6,239), Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs (ninth, 5,538), Laredo Bucks (11th, 5,341) and Colorado Eagles (12th, 5,289).
Zunic honored
HIRAM -- Hiram College sophomore softball player Stephanie Zunic of Canfield has been named this week's North Coast Athletic Conference Player-of-the-Week.
Zunic helped her team post a 5-1 record last week with a win against Allegheny College and two doubleheader sweeps against Ohio Wesleyan University and Oberlin College. Overall, Hiram has posted a 17-9 overall record and 7-3 in the NCAC.
In six games last week, Zunic batted .542 (13-of-24) with a home run, five doubles and seven RBIs. She also scored eight runs during the course of Hiram's five victories.
Zunic is third on the team in batting average at .421 (40-of-95). She leads the team in home runs (three) and doubles (11). Zunic is second in runs scored (24) and third in RBI (18). In addition, she has stolen five bases in eight attempts and has a .948 fielding percentage as the starting shortstop.

NFL Drafton FSN Ohio
CLEVELAND -- Cable-TV channel FSN Ohio, in partnership with WKNR-AM 85), will present FSN Live: The 2007 Football Draft Presented By The Spitzer Autoworld on Sunday at 8 p.m.
The live one-hour show will be hosted by Michael Reghi, Kendall Lewis and former Browns lineman Jim Pyne.
They will be joined by former players and other local experts as they break down the Browns' draft.
