American music featured at Kent-Salem concert


SALEM — The Kent Salem Community Choir will present An Americana Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday in the KSU-Salem City Center Auditorium.

The free concert will celebrate America’s musical heritage with selections of many styles including hymns and spirituals, folk songs, musical theatre and vocal jazz. Music by such composers as Stephen Foster, Aaron Copland, and Richard Rodgers will be featured, and members of the choir will perform as soloists on several songs.

The KSU-Salem City Center is the former Salem Middle School, 230 N. Lincoln Ave.
