McDonald board approves hirings

McDONALD -- The McDonald Board of Education approved several personnel moves at its Monday night meeting.
The board hired Juan Fuentes as a new bus driver for 3.5 hours a day effective April 23 at 13.59 an hour.
The board also rehired Andrew Pignanelli as a bus driver for four hours daily at 13.89 an hour.
Teachers who were given one-year limited contracts for the 2007-2008 year were: Shirley Arroyo-Stiffy, half-time teacher at the high school; Carol Augustine, school nurse; William Bundy, Melissa Mills, Marilyn Prodnick, Angela Sanson, all high school teachers; Greg Verch, half-time teacher at the high school; and Staci Conley, Judy Fedyski, Linda Metzinger and Natalie Gallo-Schadl, all elementary teachers.
The annual McDonald Senior Citizens Luncheon sponsored by high school students for village seniors will be at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the school commons.
The annual Senior Scholarship Breakfast will be at 8 a.m. May 9, and an awards ceremony for presentation of scholarships will take place during an assembly between 9 and 9:30 a.m. This year, families and organizations who are giving scholarships will present them at the ceremony for the first time.
