HAPPY 100TH BIRTHDAY Theodore Arthur 'Art' Jones

Born: April 24, 1907, in Struthers, a son of Kate and Daniel W. Jones. Grew up on the Northside of Youngstown, and lived and worked in Cleveland for 20 years.
Siblings: One brother and one sister, both deceased.
Residence: He has been a resident of Park Vista North Retirement Community since October 1990.
Married: His first wife died in 1981. He married Mary Beard in 1982.
Family: Five stepchildren, Mayo Morgan, Chester Beard, Bruce Beard, Elizabeth Ploss and Grant Beard; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Employment: Was a pilot for Republic Steel Corp. from 1936 to 1956, then for Sharon Steel Co. from 1956 until retiring in 1969. Afterward, he worked five years as a flight examiner with the Federal Aviation Administration.
Church affiliations: He is a Presbyterian.
Memberships: He is a member of the Masonic Order 32 and the Youngstown Country Club.
Hobbies: For years loved to play golf and travel. Spent his winters in Fort Myers, Fla.
Celebrations: A party is being held in his honor today at Park Vista.
