AUCTIONS

Tri-Gold Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will sponsor a Chinese auction Saturday at St. Nicholas Church, 764 Fifth St., Struthers. Doors will open at 1 p.m., and drawings will begin at 3. Admission is $4 and includes a door-prize entry, full sheet of raffle tickets and refreshments. Additional sheets of raffle tickets are $1. CARD/BINGO PARTIES

St. Pius X Altar and Rosary Society will hold a card party at the church, 1401 Moncrest Drive N.W., Warren, at 2 p.m. Sunday. The cost is $5 at the door. Featured will be a salad bar, special raffle, 50-50 raffle and door prizes.

FUNDRAISERS

New Life Maternity Home, a nonprofit residential program for unwed mothers, will have a fund-raising walk-a-thon Saturday at Howland Township Park. Walkers with sponsors will walk twice around the track, or two miles. Registration is at 9 a.m. at the park pavilion, and the walk to take place from 10 a.m. to noon. SALES

Columbiana First Presbyterian Church, 28 E. Park Ave., will hold a two-day trash and treasure sale. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. 2 p.m. Saturday. On Saturday, there will be a $3-a-bag or two-bags-for-$5 sale. In conjunction with the event, there will be a bake sale table and a hot meatball sub sale. For more information, call (330) 482-2666.

Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Drive, Boardman, will hold a book and music sale from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

Zion Hill Church of the Brethren, 14550 New Buffalo Road, Columbiana, will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Also planned is a half-price sale and a $1-a-bag clothing sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 4 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 5.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Niles Christian Assembly Church, 672 North Road, will be the setting for a talent explosion night to be co-sponsored by the youths of Maranatha Church, 2570 Elm Road Extension, Bazetta Township, at 7 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5, and an ice cream social will follow.
