POLICE CALLS
A summary of recent criminal activity in Girard, Liberty and Hubbard:
GIRARD
April 17
Aggravated menacing: A Girard woman who's a teacher in Niles accused a 14-year-old student of threatening over the phone to kill her.
April 18
Burglary: At a North Stewart Avenue home. Jewelry, a digital camera and 75 were missing.
April 19
Criminal mischief: An 8-foot section of fence was damaged and doors to a shed were torn in the 300 block of Iowa Avenue.
Assault/criminal damaging: An Abbey Street woman alleged a Youngstown man, 30, struck her in the face and twisted her hand, possibly breaking a finger. He returned and used a sharp object to damage some of her clothing, she told police.
Stolen property: Two people reported seeing three others walking on Verona Avenue carrying windows likely stolen from a residence. Police, however, were unable to determine where the windows came from.
LIBERTY
April 15
Theft: A Liberty Avenue woman told officers her 15-year-old son took 10 from her wallet.
Auto theft: A worker for Church Hill Motors, 1480 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, reported the theft of a 1998 Ford F-380.
Vehicle theft: A 6,000 utility all-terain vehicle from a shed on Aurora Circle.
Burglary: A Logan Way woman accused a Brookfield man, 36, of breaking into her residence, taking a set of keys and using her 2006 Chevrolet without permission.
Criminal damaging: A Lakewood, Ohio, man and a man from Lorain, Ohio, discovered broken passenger-side windows on their vehicles while they were at Quality Inn & amp; Suites, 4055 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A woman reported her wallet stolen while at Liberty Mini Mart, 3007 Belmont Ave.
April 16
Burglary: A man checking on an 89-year-old woman's Keefer Road residence discovered someone broke a basement window and entered. Twenty antique bottles, a handmade guitar and other items were stolen, for an estimated loss of 1,600.
April 17
Theft: A Youngstown man accused his former girlfriend, 35, of taking a pair of shoes and other property while he was at a residence in the 10 block of Holly Drive.
Theft: Someone forced open a vending machine in the 6600 block of Belmont Avenue and removed money.
April 18
Breaking and entering: Someone forced their way into Murray's Sports Pub, 5718 Belmont Ave., through a rear window and pried open a jukebox and a money container in a pool table.
April 19
Assault: A Youngstown man told police that a Brookfield man, 38, pulled the accuser from a van, grabbed him around the throat and threatened to kill him at a BP gas station, 2703 Belmont Ave. The victim was not injured.
Identity theft: A Lucretia Drive man reported being contacted by his bank regarding a 345 purchase with his credit card that he never made.
April 20
Arrest: A vehicle registration check on Belmont Avenue led to a 34-year-old Canfield woman's arrest on a warrant from Austintown charging her with larceny.
Arrest: After dealing with a disturbance at West Fork Roadhouse, 3850 Belmont Ave., authorities took into custody a Youngstown man on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. The man came to the eatery intoxicated and led officers on a brief foot chase, police said.
HUBBARD
April 15
Theft: A woman fled in a vehicle after taking merchandise from Dollar General, 866 W. Liberty St.
April 17
Criminal damaging: An employee with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3767, 710 W. Liberty St., told authorities someone tossed rocks and broke a light fixture.
April 18
Criminal damaging: A man in the 500 block of West Liberty Avenue reported juveniles removed hood ornaments from some vehicles.
Theft: A rug was stolen from a Meadowland Drive home.
April 19
Arrest: Police picked up a Hubbard man wanted on a warrant from Girard Municipal Court. He faced charges of carrying a concealed weapon, falsification, theft, criminal trespassing, criminal damaging and obstructing official business.
