Hardy's two homers lift Brewers past Astros, 6-4

ASSOCIATED PRESS
MILWAUKEE -- J.J. Hardy hit two homers and drove in three runs as the Milwaukee Brewers ended the Houston Astros' five-game winning streak with a 6-4 victory Saturday night.
Chris Capuano (3-0) pitched a season-high six innings for the win, allowing four runs and four hits while striking out six and walking six.
Francisco Cordero pitched the ninth for his sixth save in as many chances, working out of a jam by getting former Brewer Carlos Lee to ground out with runners on first and second to end it.
Morgan Ensberg homered for Houston, which dropped to 6-2 on the road -- one game shy of tying its best start to a season away from home.
Hardy has four home runs and eight RBIs in the last three games, marking the first time since May 19-21, 2003, that a Milwaukee player has hit four home runs in three games. The last was Geoff Jenkins.

Phillies 4, Reds 1
CINCINNATI -- Cole Hamels had a career-high 15 strikeouts in his first complete game and Philadelphia turned the first triple play in the major leagues this season.
Hamels (2-0) allowed five hits and walked two. His previous career best for strikeouts was 12, which he reached twice last season.
The Phillies backed Hamels with their first triple play since May 15, 1999, against the New York Mets. With Josh Hamilton on second base and Edwin Encarnacion on first in the fifth inning, David Ross hit a grounder to Phillies third baseman Abraham Nunez, who stepped on third to force Hamilton and threw to second baseman Chase Utley to force Encarnacion for the second out.
Utley's relay to first baseman Wes Helms caught Ross by a step. The Reds hadn't hit into a triple play since catcher Eddie Taubensee lined into one against San Diego on May 19, 1997.
The triple play helped the Phillies preserve a 2-1 lead.
