CHOKING DEATH
Record of aggression
James R. DiCioccio, 50, was admitted to the adult care facility at 135 Illinois Ave. on Oct. 29, 1998. His diagnosis includes schizophrenia, arthritis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He is accused of choking another resident to death March 11. His instances of aggression the past year:
Jan. 31, 2006: Attacked another resident; was charged with assault and sent for a psychiatric evaluation. He received probation on a reduced charge of disorderly conduct.
Feb. 23, 2006: Threatened another resident and staff and threatened to burn down the house and break windows. Calming and redirection were not effective. Police were called, and he was taken to the hospital.
June 18, 2006: Threatened another resident. Police were called and were able to calm him.
Aug. 3, 2006: Assaulted the director of maintenance by punching and kicking him. No charges were filed.
Sept. 28, 2006: Threatened roommate. Police were called and calmed him.
Nov. 19, 2006: Kicked another resident. Police took him to a psychiatric hospital.
Jan. 26, 2007: Assaulted another resident. He was charged with assault and resisting arrest.
