Schaffer resigns from alcohol services agency

YOUNGSTOWN — David L. Schaffer has resigned as executive director of the Mahoning County Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Agency to take a similar position with the Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board of Tuscarawas and Carroll counties.

Schaffer’s resignation is effective June 2, said Michael S. Senchak, president of the Mahoning County ADAS Board.

Senchak said a search committee has been formed to find a replacement for Schaffer and that the board expects to make a decision on a new director by late May.
