Sandcastle Amphitheatre opening delayed

PITTSBURGH -- The opening of the new Amphitheatre at Sandcastle, which was due to open this spring, has been delayed for one year.
Sandcastle Waterpark and Live Nation decided to postpone the opening until 2008 because of delays in obtaining permits for construction, which will begin in the fall, according to a news release from Live Nation.
A concert by The Fray scheduled for June 17 at Amphitheatre at Sandcastle has been canceled. Refunds are available at the original point of purchase. Ticket holders can also opt to see The Fray for free on June 18 at Time Warner Cable Amphitheater in Cleveland or June 29 at Germain Amphitheater in Columbus. Bring your ticket from the canceled Pittsburgh date to the box office of either venue on the night of show to receive free entrance.
