YSU centennial campaign gets big boost

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State University's drive to raise $43 million as part of its centennial campus building and renovation campaign got a major corporate boost today.

National City Bank handed YSU President David C. Sweet a check for $300,000 during a cermony at Kilcawley Center.

Garry Mrozek, president of National City Bank, Northeast and a YSU graduate, presented the check, calling the university "a cornerstone" of the community.

The contribution brings the total raised so far in the campaign to $28.6 million.

National City's money is earmarked specifically for the new Williamson College of Business Administration.
