It's opening night at two area college theaters.
At Youngstown State University, the musical revue "Secrets Every Smart Traveler Should Know" will be staged at 8 tonight and Friday; 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday; and 3 p.m. Sunday in Ford Theater, which is in Bliss Hall, on Wick Avenue. Call (330) 941-3105 for tickets.

The Los Angeles Times describes classical guitarist Manuel Barrueco as "a major artist with remarkable musicianship and a world of technique ... simply and consistently awesome." The Cuban native will perform at 8 p.m. at Ford Family Recital Hall, downtown. He will be joined onstage by Fred Child, host of American Public Media's nationally broadcast radio program "Performance Today," which airs at 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday on WYSU 88.5 FM. BelleVue Suite gives a sly nod to the early '90s on their debut disc, "The Dark Side of Enlightenment," which is irresistible from the first note. But the Chicago-based rockers aren't trapped in any one time period. They borrow from a wide variety of styles -- everything from Bach to Lamb of God (but mostly the stuff in between).
