April 14
Theft: A man, 33, and a woman, 42, both of Youngstown, faced theft charges after light-up pens and various clothing and lotion products were stolen from Dollar General, 271 Boardman-Canfield Road. The woman also was wanted on a charge of receiving stolen property.
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 700 block of Crestview Drive reported eggs were tossed at her car.
Theft: A 22-year-old East Palestine man wanted on a theft charge from Boardman was picked up at a Columbiana County truck stop at state Routes 7 and 14. He was accused of pumping and being unable to pay for 40 worth of gasoline while at a Get Go station, 6911 South Ave., and failing to make good on his promise to pay later.
Theft: Officers took into custody a 39-year-old Youngstown woman on a felony theft charge after a Canfield man reported an insurance claim check was forged and cashed at Charter One Bank, 955 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft by deception: Howland police turned a Salem man, 44, over to Boardman authorities. He faced a felony count of theft by deception after a Deerpath Drive woman told officers she paid 600 to have her home painted and that the job was never done.
Theft: A motorist pumped 26 worth of gasoline at a BP station, 1090 Boardman-Poland Road, and left without paying.
Assault: An Austintown woman told police she was assaulted while at Dillard's in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A Chester Drive woman reported an iPod and an iPod radio missing from her residence.
Arrest: Youngstown police handed a Youngstown woman, 31, over to Boardman authorities. She was wanted on a warrant from Boardman charging her with complicity to theft.
Arrest: A traffic stop on Glenwood Avenue led to the arrest of a Boardman man, 27, wanted on a warrant from Struthers charging him with forgery.
Felonious assault: A 17-year-old Youngstown boy faced a felonious-assault charge after a woman reported her son was assaulted in March at St. Luke School, 5225 South Ave. The victim had pain and several injuries.
April 15
Drugs: After responding to a possible burglary at a Sciota Avenue residence, authorities arrested a 22-year-old Bellville, Ill., man on charges of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia as well as drug abuse (marijuana).
Criminal trespassing: A Boardman man, 36, was charged with criminal trespassing after a Glenwood Avenue woman told officers that her former boyfriend, who was not permitted at her home, came over intoxicated. Also taken into custody was a 26-year-old Youngstown man on three misdemeanor warrants charging him with larceny, theft and falsification.
Criminal damaging: A Phoenix woman reported that the rear window of her daughter's vehicle was broken at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Criminal damaging: A Chester Drive woman found out someone placed sugar in her car's gas tank, drained its antifreeze and slashed a tire.
Theft: A customer stole 130 articles of clothing valued at 3,250 from Hollister in the Southern Park Mall.
Criminal damaging: A man discovered damage to three fences and an outdoor shed at a residence in the 4500 block of Waseka Lane.
April 16
Assault: A Canfield woman reported being assaulted while at a residence in the 400 block of Rockdale Avenue.
Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen while at Dollar Tree, 541 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Someone stole several packs of cigars from a Speedway gas station, 649 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Theft/criminal damaging: A man in the 900 block of Cook Avenue reported a window broken on his vehicle. Stolen were several receipts from an automated teller machine.
Assault: A Boardman man told officers another man struck him in the head at LongHorn Steakhouse, 953 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A Garden Valley Court woman found out someone stole and cashed checks from her parents and opened a credit card account in their names.
Theft: Three checks were taken from First Place Bank, 724 Boardman-Poland Road.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 43-year-old Meadowbrook Avenue man at his residence on two counts of domestic violence after his wife and daughter alleged he assaulted them. The wife had redness on her nose and right knee.
Theft: A woman in a blue Chevy Lumina left a Shell True North station, 7598 Market St., without paying for 32 worth of gasoline.
Burglary: Someone entered a residence in the 4000 block of South Schenley Avenue through the front door. The homeowner reported 115 DVDs, an Xbox game system, medications, a pair of tennis shoes and numerous other items missing.
Theft: Two workers at Rockne's Restaurant, 1497 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported the theft of their paychecks.
Theft: A woman took 15 hygiene products and other items from Dollar General, 859 E. Midlothian Blvd., before fleeing in a vehicle.

Criminal damaging: A woman told police that the passenger-side window in her father's vehicle was broken while she was in the 2000 block of Wolosyn Circle.
Burglary: A woman moving from an apartment in the 4900 block of Brookwood Road discovered someone had entered and removed two cable boxes.
