Russell's yardage powers Beaver Local

HUNTING VALLEY -- Ethan Russell ran 16 times for 160 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Beaver Local High football team to a 24-7 victory over University School on Saturday.
Luke Neville added 13 carries for 92 yards for the Beavers (2-1), who failed on all four conversion attempts. Beaver Local's regular kicker blew out his knee playing soccer the week before.
Devon Ledweig scored the other touchdown for Beaver Local on a 5-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to put the game away.
Justin Chappell scored on a 42-yard touchdown pass from Andon Daniels for University School (1-2).
Kennedy Catholic 32, Linesville 14
LINESVILLE -- Lee Plotts carried 13 times for 224 yards and Ross Gargano added 100 yards on eight carries for Kennedy Catholic (1-1, 1-0) on Saturday.
Gargano also completed 3 of 4 passes for 91 yards and a touchdown.
