Band Nights: Musical performances

Area band nights scheduled this week:
TRUMBULL COUNTY
Vienna: Five marching bands will perform during Mathews Band night at 7 p.m. Thursday at Booster Field at the end of Sheridan Drive off state Route 193. Scheduled to perform will be bands from Western Reserve, Mineral Ridge, Chalker, McDonald and Mathews high schools. Admission is $5, with those older than 65 and under 18 years old paying $3.
MERCER COUNTY
Mercer, Pa.: Mercer High School Marching Band will host its 11th annual Mustang Band Show beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday at the high school football field. There will be performances by marching units from Kennedy Catholic, Sharon, Lincoln (Ellwood City), Chartiers Valley, Brooklyn Heights (Cleveland), Palmyra (Hershey), Meadville, New Brighton and the host band. A special feature performance will be given by the Grove City College Wolverine Marching Band. Admission is $4 for adults; $3 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are available from any Mercer band member or at the gate the night of the show.
