Howland stays perfect with victory over Niles



The Cardinals outlasted the Bulldogs in five sets for a 3-0 MAC mark.
NILES -- Taylor Summerfield had 21 points, eight aces, five kills, 18 assists and four blocks, as Howland High defeated Niles, 25-14, 25-6, 25-17, in a Metro Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday.
Kelly Barzak had five points, 13 kills, three assists and four blocks for the Tigers (2-0, 2-0 MAC), while Katlyn Flick had eight points, four kills and three blocks.
For Niles (1-3, 0-3), Allie Moss had 11 points, two aces, two kills, three assists, three digs and two saves, Karla Durig had five points, three kills, four blocks, two digs and Hannah Newbrough had 10 digs.

CANFIELD -- Jackie Nentwick had 13 blocks, 12 kills and 12 points while Kalie Luklan added seven blocks, 14 kills, 11 points and three aces to lead Canfield past Poland.
Meg Andrews contributed eight blocks and five kills and Kelsey Owen 14 kills, six digs, three points and two aces for the Cardinals (3-2, 3-0 MAC).
For Poland (1-2, 1-2), Ashley Conger had 20 points, 23 assists and 14 digs, Doni Muransky had 19 kills and Leanna Yeager three blocks.
