Animal Welfare League plans Poker Run

WARREN -- The Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County's second annual Poker Run is scheduled for Sept. 24.
This year's run will be a 115-mile motorcycle ride through Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Participants will make five stops during the ride to pick up poker cards. The person with the highest hand at the end of the run will receive a prize.
The run will begin at the Knockouts USA Sports Bar and Grill -- formerly known as the Great American Stake-Out -- at 5115 Youngstown-Warren Road in Niles. The run will then proceed on a scenic route through Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Registration will be from 10 a.m. to noon and will include door prizes, a raffle and a Chinese auction. The registration fee is $10 per rider and $10 per passenger.
After the run wraps up at 5:30 p.m., dinner will be served and the classic rock band "Groove Dawgs" will perform.
