Pa. teen kills his friend when gun discharges

PAOLI, Pa. (AP) -- A teen pointing a gun at a friend in his driveway killed the friend when the weapon discharged, police said.
The victim, 17-year-old Scott Sheridan, was shot in the face and died at the scene, police said.
Sean Owen O'Neill, 17, has been charged as an adult with involuntary manslaughter. He was being held in Chester County Prison on Saturday, a day after the shooting.
O'Neill and Sheridan both attended Cardinal O'Hara High School.
Several people were at O'Neill's home drinking in the hours leading up to the shooting, state police said in a news release.
O'Neill's address is in Edgmont, Delaware County, but police believe the shooting took place on a piece of the property that sits in Willistown, Chester County.
Sheridan would have been a senior this year at Cardinal O'Hara.
It was not immediately clear if O'Neill had a lawyer.
