Scrappers rained out

NILES -- It'll be two-for-the-price-of-one day today when the State College Spikes play the Mahoning Valley Scrappers at Eastwood Field.
Saturday's New York-Penn League game was rained out and the Scrappers are playing their final home date of the year today. The two teams will play two seven-innings games today, starting at 1:05 p.m.
Fans holding tickets for Saturday's rainout can use those tickets for today's action, or use them for any Scrappers' home game next year.
Both the Spikes and the Scrappers are still alive in the NYPL playoff race.
Auburn (38-30) leads the Pinckney Division by 21/2 games over the Spikes (35-32) and by 3 games over the Scrappers (36-34).
Auburn was rained out against Williamsport Saturday and the two teams are set to meet again today.
The current NYPL schedule suggests Auburn will play 74 regular season games while the Scrappers are on target to play 76 games. Regular season ends Thursday.
