CLEVELAND -- Keiz Smith won an unanimous four-round decision over Kenneth Brown of Cleveland Friday in an amateur boxing match
Smith, 158-pounds, is 8-3 and Brown fell to 5-1,
Smith trains at the Buckeye Elks.

COITSVILLE -- Ed Romack of Youngstown aced the 120-yard, No. 12 hole with a pitching wedge at Bedford Trails. Witnesses were C.J. Andre, Phil Clacko and George Krinas.

Senior bowling
BOARDMAN -- Entry blanks for the 2006 Youngstown Senior team tournament are available at area bowling centers.
The tournament will be Nov. 18 & amp; 19 and Nov. 25 & amp; 26 at Boardman Lanes.
The event is open to men 55 and older and women 50 and old or any combination. The cost is 64 per team.
The tournament is sponsored by the Youngstown Senior tournament committee. Businesses or individuals wishing to sponsor the senior tournaments for 2006-07 may contact Ted Bundy at (330) 770-8161.

*LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Troy Matteson has turned his rookie season into a rousing success. He did it in four weeks, too.
Matteson birdied the last two holes Saturday, finished with a 7-under 65 and had a one-shot lead at 19-under 197 after the third round of the Funai Classic at Disney.
Joe Durant (64) was second at 18 under, one stroke ahead of first- and second-round leader Justin Rose (72). Twenty others -- including Davis Love III, Mark Calcavecchia and Mike Weir -- were within six shots of the leader.
Matteson, meanwhile, is starting to get accustomed to being on the leaderboard. He tied for eighth four weeks ago at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic, then had a sixth-place finish the following week in Greensboro. The two-week spree moved him from 172nd on the money list to 143rd -- in position to retain his full-time tour card.
It got even better last week in Las Vegas, where Matteson won the Frys.com Open for his first PGA Tour title. The victory vaulted him to 71st on the money list.
Now, he's looking to make it two in a row -- and has a shot at qualifying for the 2007 Masters.
*SAN ANTONIO -- Fred Funk shot a 4-under 67 to maintain a one-stroke lead in the AT & amp;T Championship, his third event on the Champions Tour.
The 50-year-old Funk, a seven-time winner on the PGA Tour, had a 10-under 132 total on the Oak Hills course. Raymond Floyd (66) was a stroke back, and defending champion Haas (64) was two shots behind along with Keith Fergus (67) and Scott Simpson (68).
Haas, coming off a victory in the rain-shortened Administaff Small Business Classic in Spring, birdied his first four holes. Tied with Loren Roberts for the tour lead with four wins, Haas also won the PGA Tour's Texas Open in 1982 and 1993 at Oak Hills.
The 64-year-old Floyd hasn't won a full-field tournament in more than six years.
*CHONBURI, Thailand -- Nicole Castrale remained in position to win her first LPGA Tour title, shooting a 4-under 68 in hot conditions to take a two-stroke lead into the final round of the Honda LPGA Thailand.
The 27-year-old American birdied the first four holes on the Amata Spring course, holing a 20-foot putt on No. 1, hitting a lob wedge to 3 feet on No. 2 and adding 15-footers on Nos. 3 and 4. She also birdied No. 7 and made a 15-foot birdie putt on No. 12, but dropped two strokes with bogeys on Nos. 13 and 16.
Castrale, the former Southern Cal star in her first full season on the tour, had an 11-under 133 total. South Korea's Hee-Won Han (68) was 9 under, Christina Kim (66) was 8 under, and Gloria Park (68) and Diana D'Alessio (69) were another shot back.
*SON SERVERA, Mallorca -- Sweden's Niclas Fasth and Ireland's Gary Murphy shot even-par 70s to share the third-round lead in the Mallorca Classic.
Fasth and Murphy had 3-under 207 totals. Australia's Peter O'Malley (68) was a stroke back, and Sweden's Peter Hanson (68) and Scotland's Marc Warren (71) were 1 under. Spanish star Sergio Garcia was three back after his third consecutive 70.

*MADRID, Spain -- Roger Federer moved a step closer to his 10th title of the year, routing David Nalbandian 6-4, 6-0 Saturday in the semifinals of the Madrid Masters.
The top-ranked Swiss will play for the title today against 10th-seeded Fernando Gonzalez of Chile, who beat Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic 6-3, 6-1.
This is Gonzalez's first Masters final and second consecutive final.
Last week, he lost the championship match to Ivan Ljubicic in Vienna, Austria.
*ZURICH, Switzerland -- Maria Sharapova kept alive her chance to finish the year ranked No. 1, beating Katarina Srebotnik of Slovenia 7-6 (3), 6-2 Saturday despite an aching foot to reach the Zurich Open final.
The second-seeded Russian will play for the title today against Daniela Hantuchova, who upset third-seeded Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-4, 6-2.
In the second set, Kuznetsova needed treatment for a toe blister.
