Heard Service Director Joe Julian announce that the recent citywide trash removal program for residents would probably cost about 12,000. Estimates has been in the 40,000 range.
Heard Law Director C. Brooke Zellers say that Friday is the deadline for the city to appeal its loss before the State Employment Relations Board. Council entered into a contract to start the Quaker Community Fire District after entering into a new contract with the city fire department. SERB said that was a violation of state bargaining law. The city used a separate law firm in that case. Zellers recommended that the city not appeal SERB's decision.
Approved a request to the Ohio Public Works Commission for 1.2 million to build a 500,000-gallon water tank on the northwest corner of East Third Street and Roosevelt Avenue. The move would help improve pressure on the city's east side.
Moved its next regular meeting from Nov. 7, which is Election Day, to 7 p.m. Nov. 8.
