American Slovak Cultural Association of the Mahoning Valley will celebrate its traditional Christmas Vilija, or "poor meal."
When: At 4 p.m. Dec. 10.
Where: St. Matthias Church Auditorium, 915 Cornell St., Youngstown.
The public is welcome.
Tickets are being sold in advance. Call Tom Martinko at (330) 788-2885 by Tuesday.
The meatless meal will include sauerkraut soup, pirogi, opekance, kolachi, apple and wine.
A special guest, Rastislav Kacer, Slovakia's third ambassador to Washington, is expected to attend.
