Let's groove tonight. Pop-funk legends Earth, Wind and Fire perform in a 7:30 p.m. concert at Chevrolet Centre. With dozens of hits spanning a decades-long career, and album sales in the zillions, the Elements are surely in the soundtrack of life of anyone over 30. There is no warm-up band for tonight's show, so don't be late.
It will be polka music in a classical setting when two-time Grammy nominee the Del Sinchak Band takes the stage at Ford Family Recital Hall. The band will be joined by the Sardich Singers and Jaclyn Hodos for the 7 p.m. show. Call (330) 744-0264.

Marvin Hamlisch, whose musical scores have won Oscar, Grammy, Emmy, Tony and Golden Globe awards, will lead the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra in a pops concert. The principal pops conductor for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has a list of musical credits that includes the movies "The Way We Were" and "The Sting," and the Broadway shows "They're Playing Our Song" and "The Goodbye Girl." In the Nov. 7 statewide election, voters approved a ban on smoking in bars. The new law takes effect Dec. 7, so that means this is your last weekend to see live rock'n'roll in a smokey bar (in Ohio, anyway). Here are some options: No Excuse, The Cellar in Struthers, 162 S. The Butler Institute of American Art has moved its annual American Holiday Fine Arts and Crafts Show to Chevrolet Centre this year. More than 100 booths featuring fine artists, crafters, florists and holiday vendors will be set up. Day-long entertainment, food and craft demonstrations will also be featured. Carols and Cocoa, the annual holiday concert that combines -- astonishingly enough -- traditional Christmas songs with a warm chocolatey beverage, is Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Stambaugh Auditorium. The Dana School of Music ensembles will lead the singing, but anyone can join in. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and students. Children under 12 and those with a valid Youngstown State University ID are free.
