Indiana man arrested in Ohio drug bust

Thursday, November 30, 2006

CELINA, Ohio (AP) -- An Indiana man was arrested after authorities said he drove to Ohio and picked up 21 pounds of marijuana, worth about 27,000.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation received a tip about the drug buy and passed it onto local authorities.
Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey said the man arrested Monday had several forms of identification with different names but the same photograph. Investigators were not sure of his real name or whether he is in the United States legally.
He picked up the marijuana at a package delivery business and was arrested minutes later, Grey said. The business was not involved in the drug transaction, he said.
It was the largest seizure of marijuana since Grey took office in 2001, he said.
