Lauers have new son

NEW YORK (AP) -- Matt Lauer now has another reason to look bleary-eyed on the set of the "Today" show. His wife, Annette, gave birth to a son, the couple's third child, Tuesday.
In honor of his wife's heritage, the boy was given the Dutch name Thijs (pronounced tice). Lauer, 48, worked as recently as Monday, but Lester Holt filled in for him on the NBC morning show Tuesday.
The baby is the couple's third child. They have a 5-year-old son, Jack, and 3-year-old daughter, Romy.
