Tom Parrotta (Fordham, '91) is in his first season with the Golden Griffins.Notes: This is only the third meeting between the teams and Canisius has won both previous games. This game is a rematch from last year's Bracket Buster game which the Golden Griffins won 75-68 in Buffalo, N.Y. The only other meeting between the teams was back in 1941 when Canisius posted a 51-47 win also in Buffalo. The Griffs are coming off an 81-71 loss at home to No. 17 ranked Syracuse and are 1-1 on the road this year. Senior Chuck Harris had 24 points against the Orangemen. YSU has had a grueling schedule to date, playing three Big Ten teams, Michigan State, (86-61), Michigan (65-56) and most recently Ohio State (91-57) all on the road. The Penguins have played just one home game beating Slippery Rock 95-57. Seniors Quin Humphrey and Keston Roberts have been the leaders to date and are the only Penguins averaging in double figures. Humphrey at 17.5 points and 5.7 rebounds leads the team in both categories.Next: YSU will open Horizon League play on Dec. 2 with a road contest at Illinois-Chicago. They will return home on Dec. 5 to take on Lock Haven in an 11 a.m. contest at Beeghly Center.
