St. Henry advances to meet JFK

LIMA (AP) -- Andy Puthoff ran for 260 yards and three touchdowns, including a 35-yard scoring run that broke a tie with about two minutes remaining, to lead St. Henry to a 28-21 win over Findlay Liberty-Benton in a Division V state semifinal on Saturday.
Puthoff carried 29 times and scored on runs of 15 yards in the fourth quarter and 44 yards in the first. St. Henry (13-1) will play for the championship next weekend.
Puthoff's first fourth-quarter touchdown put St. Henry ahead 21-7, but Liberty-Benton (12-2) rallied to tie the score on two touchdown passes from Aaron Craft. Craft threw a 12-yard TD pass to Michael Busch and then found his brother, Brandon Craft, on a 7-yard scoring pass with 4:38 remaining.
After Puthoff's touchdown with 2:04 left, Liberty-Benton drove back to midfield before Josh Werling intercepted Aaron Craft with 54 seconds remaining to seal the win. Craft, a freshman, was 31-of-37 for 302 yards.
